Street Lobineau
Cette rue, ouverte vers 1820 sur le site de l'ancienne foire de Saint-Germain-des-Prés, tient son nom du moine bénédictin et historien Guy Alexis Lobineau (1666-1727) en raison du voisinage l'abbaye de Saint-Germain-des-Prés voisine.

This street, opened in 1820 on the site of the ancient fair of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, is named after the Benedictine monk and historian Alexis Guy Lobineau (1666-1727) due to the vicinity of the abbey Saint-Germain -des-Prés neighbor.

The Saint-Germain market occupies part of the site of the famous fair, located in the twelfth century on the area of the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. L'Abbé Guillaume Briçonnet had built in 1511 a double height hall large enough to accommodate 300 merchants.
